Sarah is a junior at UTEP working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. She is a research assistant for the Latino Alcohol Health Disparities Research Group on campus, and works closely with Dr. Eden Robles on qualitative research projects. Improving mental health care, informing the public, and influencing mental health policy are objectives that, as an aspiring mental health professional, are important to her. Her future goals include attending graduate school to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Studying substance use, especially focusing on alcohol, is something that Sarah is passionate about, and she hopes to specialize in researching and treating substance use disorders.
